We believe in "data minimalism." We only collect what is strictly necessary to provide our service:
- Account Information: We store your email address to manage your subscription, allow you to sign in across devices, and provide customer support.
- Child Profiles: You may create profiles for children within your account. We store a name (or nickname) and reading progress data so the app can provide adaptive learning levels and track fluency.
2. How We Use Information
We use your data exclusively to:
- Provide the reading and pronunciation features of the app.
- Personalize the AI-generated imagery and reading levels.
- Communicate important account or subscription updates.
3. Data Sharing and Sales
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third-party advertisers or data brokers. Your information is used solely within the BibleReading ecosystem to improve your reading experience.
4. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
BibleReading is designed for families.
- Parental Control: All child profiles must be created by a parent or legal guardian.
- Data Retention: Child profile data is stored securely and is directly linked to the parent account.
- Deletion: If you choose to delete your account, all associated child profiles and progress data are permanently removed from our servers.
5. AI and Audio Processing
Our AI pronunciation coach processes audio in real-time to provide feedback.
- We do not store permanent audio recordings of you or your child.
- Audio is processed to determine fluency and then discarded.
6. Your Rights and Data Deletion
You have full control over your data. You may request to view, edit, or delete your information at any time. Upon account deletion, all personal data (including email and child profiles) is purged from our systems.
